New Packaging, Same Formula — Why We Made the Change
What's changing, what's staying the same — and why we're explaining it to you.

The Reason: Three Products, One Decision
Henna Powder, Tebrima, and Ghassoul — three of our best-selling products — are now shipping in new packaging. This isn't just a cosmetic refresh for the shelf. It's the result of a review we imposed on ourselves after carefully observing for months how our products actually age, are unpacked, and hold up in everyday use at your home.
The trigger was unspectacular: customer feedback, our own practical tests, and an honest look at our supply chain showed that the old packaging no longer met our expectations in three areas. Instead of ignoring that, we made the change — even though a packaging change means effort, cost, and risk.
What Exactly Is Changing
Three things have changed for Henna, Tebrima, and Ghassoul:
- Less Plastic: We have reduced the plastic content in all three packages without weakening the protective function for the powder.
- Better Shelf Life: The new packaging seals more tightly and protects the powders more reliably from moisture and light — both factors that can degrade the active ingredients of Henna, Tebrima, and Ghassoul over time.
- More Honest Fill Volumes: We have adjusted the package size to the actual fill volume. No oversized containers with lots of air — what you see is more closely aligned with what's inside.
What Consciously Stays the Same
When changing packaging, the biggest temptation is to change several things at once — slightly adjust the formula, increase the fill volume, or recalculate the price. We consciously decided against this.
The origin of the raw materials remains unchanged: Henna from the same Moroccan cultivation areas, Tebrima herbs from the same supply relationships, Ghassoul from the same mining area in the Atlas Mountains. The processing, grinding method, and quality control follow exactly the same standards as before. The reason is simple: if we tell you that "only the packaging" is changing, that must also be literally true — otherwise, it's not transparency, but a repackaging under a different name.
More Honest Fill Volumes — What That Means
One point that has repeatedly surfaced in customer feedback is that the old packaging appeared larger than the actual fill volume. This is a known issue in the cosmetics industry — larger containers suggest more product, even if the content remains the same.
We have adjusted the package size for Henna, Tebrima, and Ghassoul more closely to the actual fill volume. This means that the container or pouch you hold in your hand more honestly reflects what's actually inside. This may seem like a smaller product at first glance — but in reality, it's more precise.
Shelf Life: Why the New Packaging Protects Longer
Henna, Tebrima, and Ghassoul are pure plant powders without synthetic preservatives. This makes them valuable and natural — but it also makes them more sensitive to moisture, which can bind the active ingredients and alter the texture of the powder before you even open it.
The new packaging seals more tightly and significantly reduces air and moisture exchange compared to the old solution. In practice, this means: the powder remains in a more stable condition from the manufacturing date to application, the color intensity of Henna changes less due to storage, and the active ingredients of Tebrima and Ghassoul remain active longer.
What's Coming Next
The packaging change for Henna, Tebrima, and Ghassoul is the first visible step in a larger review we've undertaken across our entire product range. In parallel, we're preparing two new products — Sidr Leaf Powder and Rose Water Spray — which have been developed from the outset with the same plastic-reduced, tightly sealing packaging logic, rather than adapting it later.
We will continue to communicate transparently if anything changes with packaging, formula, or origin — even if "only the packaging" sounds like a minor detail at first glance. For us, it's not.
Has the formula for Henna, Tebrima, or Ghassoul changed?
No. Only the packaging has been changed — raw materials, origin, processing, and formula remain exactly the same.
Why does the new packaging look smaller?
We have adjusted the package size more closely to the actual fill volume, instead of using oversized containers. The fill volume itself (150 g or 250 g) remains unchanged.
Is the new packaging better for shelf life?
Yes. It seals more tightly and reduces contact with moisture and light, which helps maintain the quality of preservative-free plant powders like Henna, Tebrima, and Ghassoul for longer.
